CAGE Distance Framework

10 minutes (1 section)
Global

Course Description

Expanding a business abroad can be a daunting task. Which countries should you target? Why? The CAGE distance framework provides a bilateral approach to aid in constructing global strategies.

This framework focuses on the differences between one’s own country and a target country for expansion by examining them across four categories – Cultural, Administrative, Economic, and Geographic. By prioritizing the differences between countries, potential obstacles or advantages can be revealed, and success can be achieved in global business operations.
