Moore’s Law

4 minutes (1 section)
Technovate (Technology and Innovation)

Course Description

On July 16th, 1969, the Apollo 11 spacecraft successfully landed on the moon using the most sophisticated technology known to man.

With this in mind, you might be surprised to know that the average smartphone today has over 100,000 times the processing power of the computer that landed the Apollo 11.

The explanation for this jump in processing power can be attributed to Moore’s law.

Moore’s law is the observation that computer devices double in processing power every two years, at nearly half the costs. This has profoundly impacted the business landscape in terms of product development, changing competitive advantages, and creating a need for forming partnerships to pursue R&D.

Take this course to learn what impact Moore’s law has on companies and their customers!
